Benefits
most pillowcases are an afterthought. yours doesn't have to be.
your face spends roughly a third of its life pressed into the same fabric. so does your hair. what that fabric is matters more than most people think — and once you know the difference, it's hard to go back.
here's what silk actually does, and why we made ours the way we did.
hydration that stays on your skin.
cotton is porous. it pulls moisture out of your skin all night, along with whatever you put on it before bed — your retinol, your moisturizer, your serum... silk is denser, smoother, and doesn't absorb the same way. what you applied at 10 p.m. will actually stay on your skin. if you're investing in skincare, this is the part of the routine no one tells you about.
fewer lines, earned slowly.
sleep creases are temporary. but pressed into the same place every night for years, they become the lines you start to notice in the mirror. cotton drags. silk doesn't. less friction, less compression, fewer fine lines slowly etched in by something you could have changed.
it's not a wrinkle cream. it's the surface underneath one.
smoother hair, kept overnight.
a cotton pillowcase pulls at your hair every time you move. that friction is where overnight frizz, breakage, and split ends actually come from — not your conditioner, not your blow dryer, the pillow. silk lets your hair slide instead of catch.
the curl, the wave, the blowout — lasts longer.
a calmer surface for skin that breaks out.
silk is naturally hypoallergenic and doesn't hold onto the same buildup cotton does — oil, sweat, dust, product, bacteria. for skin that's reactive or breakout-prone, the pillow is often the variable no one's looked at. switching is small. the difference can be loud.
sleep that actually feels like rest.
silk is temperature-regulating by nature. cool when it's warm, warm when it's cool, neither in a way that wakes you up. you don't flip the pillow. you don't kick the sheets off at 3 a.m. you just sleep.
the way ours is made.
we tested silk from across the world before settling on what we sell. ours is 30 momme mulberry silk, where most brands stop at 19 to 22 — denser weave, smoother glide, longer life. it's double-stitched at every seam, finished with a hidden zipper, and certified to oeko-tex and gots standards.
most pillowcases on the market wear out in a season. ours is built to last years.
the small things, taken seriously.
what you sleep on, what you wash with, what you put on your skin — all of it counts. silk is one of the easier upgrades. you'll notice it the first morning, and keep noticing it for a long time after.
